Treenion Tree of Life · Family Tree
Free · Non-profit · Built together
Your family, one tree, every story.
Treenion is a free, non-profit place where a family builds its tree together: you start it, invite your relatives by e-mail, and everyone adds the people, places and stories they remember. What one person forgot, another one knows.
What it is for
Connect with your family
Invite parents, cousins, the aunt who remembers everything. Every relative gets a place in the tree and a say in what is written there: additions are checked by the others, so the tree grows by agreement, not by one person's memory.
Keep the heritage stories
A tree is more than names and dates. Attach the story of how your grandparents met, the legend about the great-grandfather who walked home from the war, the village everyone came from and the places they moved to. Stories stay with the people they belong to.
Free and non-profit
No fees, no ads, no selling of what you enter. Treenion is a volunteer project made so that families can keep their past. Your tree is private unless you decide to open it, and what is yours stays yours.
How it works
-
1
Plant the tree
Create a free account and your family. You are its first person and its first administrator.
-
2
Add the people you know
Parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters, spouses and children – with as much or as little as you know. Anything unknown can wait.
-
3
Invite the family
Send an invitation by e-mail. Each relative fills in their own branch, confirms what is right and adds the stories only they remember.
Trees their families have opened
Some families let anyone read their tree. Have a look – maybe you come from the same places.
Ready? Start your family tree – it's free.
